While I long for the day my 8 is sporting a fmic, this does me no good without the rest of the kit to go with it :) And if I catch anyone sporting a non-functional fmic I will personally beat them silly.lol j/k

'tis from Acosta racing. Halfway decent price, but it pretty much requires the MS bumper.

What's the point of the intercooler without a turbocharger? Am I missing something, or is this just silly?

At the moment that intercooler ain't for nothing but pose value....

dont see the point of getting this 'cooler/piping setup first. show us the turbo setup first :)
'cooler piping is probably one of the cheapest costs for a turbo setup. it can be done once all the "goodies" are in place.
also, why the hell REMOVING the front reinforcement?

It's also a bloody big intercooler for most people's applications.... looks like it's the same kind they used for their 800hp 20B powered 8.

For the average turbo setup on the 8 (300-350hp), you can make do with a intercooler smaller than the size of this one and it'll still be efficient.

Yup, I agree with all of you, no "immediate" reason for an intercooler without the entire kit. I was just looking at what items ebay had to offer, and I also found an assortment of cross drilled/slotted brake rotors that fit with complete stock pads. Looked like a good deal, most less then 300 for the set.

The last time I was over at 'Canzoomers' place, he had one similar, for the Procharger project, and the whole nose was blocked.

Said it was not acceptible for the fmic to block all the rad air.

He went to two smaller coolers, just inside from the oil cooler ducts.

...but it does look great!

Well, it from New Jersey, it is shown on a car with the Acosta Racing intake vent on the MS bumper and it is the Acosta intercooler layout and mounting bracket.
I'd say it is from Acosta Racing.
