Is there an XML or RSS feed for this forum? If not, can one be turned on? Sorry if this is a repeat; a search of "Atom" , "RSS", or "XML" did not return spiffy results.

It's be nice if there were, but I don't know.

In vbulletin, you can go under vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options (the latter is a sub-group of the former). In the list there is an option for "External Data Provider". Select that, and then enable either XML or RSS feeds.

I think. I don't know vbulletin well enough....

I would be interested in RSS feeds as well...the question is what will be fed to us through the feed anyway? maybe the threads we are subscribed will show when they've been updated

I'd love to be able to read the forums through an RSS feed. I love this site, but while at work I don't like the flashy headers and avatars on my computer screen. I always get my work done, but there is no need to draw attention.

we could create an RSS feed independently from the admins on this site quite effortlessly but if they turn on a settting it should be easy...I think :p

now that I think about it there may be resistance to this since advertising contracts may not jibe with RSS but who really knows...based on personal experience websites with RSS feeds I read get a lot more views from me and others since everyone gets addicted to checking them the visit the site far more often :D

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for syndicating news.

It is awesome...essentially data aggregator...text only.

for example...cnn.com RSS feed shows the headlines and if you are using a fully ability reader (like Sage in Firefox) you'll see a small summary of the article. This way no visiting the site and fast loading times and no crazy formatting only basic text for you to decide what you want to read.

Also works great for lets say a deal website where they update their listings often...this way you can check it out without the hoopla of the website...or for instance I use it for my gmail account to see titles of emails and decide if I want to login and go to town.

Where can I find the RSS feed?
The administrator may have enabled RSS syndication, this allows you to view newly created threads in guest viewable forums without visiting the board.

The feeds are currently provided in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:

RSS 0.91 - This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.

However, tried it and couldn't get it to work.
