I believe koenigsegg is the word you're looking for. It means "King's Blade". And if I'm not mistaken it's the fastest road car on the planet. It's one bad-ass machine.

I read in another thread that there's a meet every monday night down in del ray somewhere.

I'm in WPB. Silver 8. We should set up a meet in Northern Palm Beach County. Last Sunday I was with Paradigm and we saw at least 8 RX8s in WPB that afternoon. Saturday evenings would be the best for me.

West Palm Beach :o That's kinda far for me. I live near Homestead :( That's south Miami. It would take me about 2 hours just to get there.

theres a meet monday nights in delray @ atlantic and military its 100% legal meet. being that i have permision from the property owners of zios (sub shop) it first started out as just my weekly car club meeting ( ill society fl. c.c.) but every one should bring the 8s down there i have a red 8 6 spd with a few mods and more in progress...

How late are you guys out there? I work in boynton (1 mile S. of woolbright & congress), but I don't get out till about 11:15-11:30 at the earliest.

I've been modding my motorcycle and haven't touched my 8. I guess it's cause I have not even gotten into what can be done....yet

I know this thread is dead but thought I'd throw it out there, because I wave too and havent had a single one in return. I'm a black 8 in Loxahatchee (occasionally seen with a thin layer of white sand). I work in Boca though. Hopefully soon SOMEONE will wave back.

I just want you to know that I've owned the RX-8 since August 2003, and not one single driver I've ever seen in another RX-8 has EVER waved back at me. So I don't even bother anymore. Can't really be surprised in a greedy, conceited area like South Florida. Maybe I just look too threatening.

Same experience here, I usually blink my highbeams or nod, not response so far. Jerks!!! (no offense Jerky :D)

I had a great conversation with an 8 owner who is on here. I forgot the name but he drives a red 8 and droped his gearbox at morroso once.

I was down there last weekend. Saw a few 8's. I was looking to see if someone would wave.. hard to tell with the tint. Saw one in north Miami beach, looked green maybe?

Actually, the flywheel was changed before that, because about a month before moroso a friend was driving and he missed a 1-2 shift so bad it broke the fork. The tranny was overhauled and I had the flywheel installed then. The moroso incedent was a shattered bearing retainer. There's old posts on here from both incedents. The latter one with pic goodness. :D

And yes, I did get one run in. 15.4 @ 94. When you consider I spent all of first gear hopping and broke my tranny doing so, I guess it's not so bad. ;)

It rained like fuckin' hell today. Ironically I drove with more RX-8s today than all the days I've seen them this month (combined).

First it started off with a white turning into the intersection before I got on the highway this morning...followed by a black one right before I reached my job.

In the afternoon a red one followed me up the on ramp home and drove directly behind me for a while but never passed me. We both drove past a sunlight silver two minutes later. Then there was a traffic jam frustrated the hell out of me so I responded by driving like an asshole, squeezing in and out of lanes... until I saw a nordic green on the other side of the highway that was looking rather black (but I could just barely make out the green aura).

I went out one last time this evening and saw another sunlight silver.

Most of them had dark tints so it was pointless to even wave.

That's six RX-8s in one day rainy ass day.

While I'm alway in the garage tinkering with my 8 his car just sits outside the driveway looking lonely. :p

Today was another day where I saw a shitload of RX-8s on the road. In fact I saw there were so many today that after I saw the 4th one I wasn't even surprised/interested anymore. I probably don't even remember them all but if my memory services me right...

1 Black on the way to work with sunroof
1 Red on the way home stock
2 greens almost at the same time...one turned into a plaza and the other going to the opposite direction (one of these may have been a black but I'm pretty sure I saw green reflection on both)
2 Titaniums...one in a parking lot...stock, the other driving by bank fully loaded
1 Sunlight Silver on the highway...with part of its rear bumper caved in..gotta love that curse
1 Blue when getting off the highway that had 16s on it with some little chicky behind the wheel (stock automatic)

Yup..I saw almost every available color on the road today except White and Yellow (and Shinka of course).

Either I drove through the right parts of town at the right moment...or this car is finally getting popular down here.

I'm not sure if the car was actually fully loaded but it had moonroof, accents, and all the lower skirts. I guess I meant grand touring. I have a yellow. I haven't seen any yellows in a long time down here in Coral Gables but I've seen a few up by Broward a couple times when I've gone to Hard Rock to lose my ass.

That guy probably picked it up rcently from Shumacher Infinity/HUmmer/VW....took them a while to sell it. What time do you commute to FTL? I commute from Loxahatchee to Boca 5 days a week and I take the turnpike around 6am. Mine is Black, no exterior mods except mudguards, and I always wave and so far only only two have waved back.

Dude, I think I saw your car about 2-3 weeks ago on Hagen Ranch going towards Lantana. I waved but the sun was on me so I doubt you saw it. Was it also you I saw parked in Smith Farms recreation center about 1 week ago?

Yo wut up i was out there last friday i got a blue X8, just bought it after Christmas. so far i got SR pulleys, hiflow cat, K/N drop in, ordered my Advans about month an a half ago still waiting :mad: i should have my lip kit and sides by summer, and im droppin it in april. Any how i will be out there this friday i park on the Taco bell side, but there were 2 other X8s out there besides me but they were with the Mazda club Intense Performance which are mostly proteges and 3's which i had before. oh, i didnt see you, well i paid $1 to park inside the parkin lot, that blue color is nice, i have a titanium rx8 with appearance pkg and nothing else, i just ordered my HID lights and the 3rd brake light rx8 emblem, so when i get them i will remove the stock emblems and currently doing overtime for my greddy sp2 exhaust:mdrmed:, but other than that my car is bone stock, for sure im going this friday, where should be meet up?....do you know anobody else with a rx8 that would go too?..

funny my boy chris just bought a titanium X8 with appearance package and he just put on the Greddy. It sounds really good :ylsuper: Meet me there i'll be on the taco bell side, in the lane closest to taco bell i should be there around 7:30. there should be a black and silver neon with a snow plow front bumper a few spaces over from me. Is your car stick? cause i might go sliding after. I'm still new to rear wheel drive so i been practiceing drifting, but I haven't quite got it down. I'm afraid of hitting something but i found a spot with alot of space so im hopin to get some more time in on friday. yea the blues nice but i like the white more, just dont like the way the top of the back bumper looks after awhile.

not sure if hes going i dont have his number and dont see him much. my pro was fully built in every way painted interior, fully built motor, i mean to much to even say. i smoked EVOs by four or five cars. so the X8 is alot slower but it drives so much better. i love it and i can get it sideways. i think im going to be ordering my autoexe strut braces soon. but i cant wait till i get my advans :wallbash: then ill be seeing alot of this :bowdown:

thats crazy, i didnt wanted to spend too much money on my integra bcuz they stopped making it since 2000 or 2001 i think and after a while that car is becoming old style, and when the x8 was coming out o dreamed about it untill it came out but then my wife wanted a VW jetta, slow as car, and lots of problems it was a V but with a lot of problems so i just returned it and got the 8 but before i wanted s2000 but my wife wanted a 4 door car and since i wanted a sport car when the x8 was the best option, im thinking about doing little stuffs only on my x8 but like turbo will be the last thing that i would put on my car and if i put it, too bad your friend is not coming to hear his greddy, do you have one? and whats the delay oon your advans?...well see ya at 8pm at taco bell, peace out!

my boy joe was talking about morroso but im not sure if its for this weekend or not ill let you know. i'll most likly do the same thing this friday. hey next chance you get practice 180's its easy just stop the car cut the wheel right or left rev it up and dump the clutch it will swing right around :bootyshak ease off the gas when ur around and drive off. this will get you use to countering a slide

Yo Wut up. Well finally got my HKS high power put on. its louder then i wanted it but idont wanna change it. Got the single exhaust on the pass side looks hot and spits flames :FIREdevil . Funny it sounds like a busa when im on it. so if any one sees a stock appearance blue 8 wit a single blue high power stickn out the the back say wut up . you'll hear me before you see me LOL :rock:

Potato cannon :mdrmed: EM s got jokes LOL. well i went for the single cannon instead of the duel cannons everyone else is puttin on. The tip is smaller than borlas magnaflows and greddys. I'm not sure if your flamin it or not ,but i love it so whatever hear are some more pics it not even that noticable. I can tell you one thing i took it for a ride last night wit boys behind me (they wanted watch it spit flames) when i got back the inside of the muffler was glowing red. Anyhow my Advans should be here in two weeks :rock:

Not trying to flame. The closeup pic doesn't give good perspective. The shots from a few steps back look really good. I'm keeping away from exterior mods (wheels, body kits, even clear corners) so a low-key exhaust is (errr) key.

Ill be at towers. Thats cool E.M. yea see i do alot of shows and have afew sponsors left from my last car so i have to add stuff to the car. Which i like doing anyhow and my car sits in a garage 5 days out of the week so i dont have to worry about much. I have to go for Fast and Furious stile so i try to do it as clean as possible. Im gonna order the Burnout front lip and do some sides on every thin else will suspension and brakes. unfortunatly to get sponsor they want there sticker on your car. Any how towers is a definate and im hittn up morroso sat

OK guys i went to morroso saturday and got 5 runs on the track and a free dyno pull. nothing impressive but im happy and i had a blast. I know i could have done better times if I'd a had tracktion out the hole. I was hoppin wheels launching at four grand. my best time was 15.0 and my dyno run put out 171 to the wheels ABS on TCS off. Wish i would have known i could do a dyno pull had would of brought my Vid Cam. maybe next time. any how here are my time slips and dyno sheet.

well i dont know the name of the church but it is nearby davie rd. and stirling rd, i think right next to those apartments el conquistador.....nice place, any how, just got back from GA, went to gainsville GA to be exact and went to six flags, they had some awesome rides, but can you guys imagine i was the only x8 out there during those 4 days that i stayed there didnt see not even one, and at the six flags parking lot i was driffting like crazy bcuz it was empty, anyways we had fun, so wuz up with towers on friday?....tlim did the x8 with greddys ever showed up?....man i wanted to hear that exhaust so bad...urs look nice too i like the out of an angle style...anyways hope this friday i'll see more x8's out there

yo supa $1200 for a yorkie! my advice is go to publix buy a mop head and tie it to a hand sander :nono: other wise go to humane society and put your self on a waiting list. Dont go to a pet store i heard to many bad storys about getting sick dogs. or try the bargin trader.

Go to www.drivenasafl.com. You have to join first. Included in your yearly membership is a subscription to Grass Roots Motorsports magazine. Don't remember the exact cost of the two days, but it is somewhere in the $350 range. This gets you two class sessions per day and 3 - 20 to 30 minute sessions on the track each day. With you on the track will be an instructor to continue the instructions you learned in the classroom.

You will need a SA 2000 or newer helmet and long cotton pants. Car will need a brake fluid flush, good pads and decent tires.

Your the second person to recommend them, kinda far from Palm Beach Gardens, but I've been going to Jupiter Dodge/Mazda and I can't say I feel very good any time I get repairs done, especially warranty repair. Thanks

When my warranty is up, i'll definitely take it to those guys. They are the shit!!

I use Pettit for all basic work not covered under warranty and for my performance enhancements.

Do not go to potamkin on bird. I work nearby and when I went to buy my 8 they gave me a whole hassle and a half on purchasing the car I wanted. first they lied to me telling me they could get any car I wanted from another mazda dealer as long as they could trade vehicles then they gave me crap about financing even when I told them my bank was going to finance me (Cause my credit is really good and I don't trust the financing from dealers) So after a week of crap I said screw it, if your not gonna bring the car to me i will go to the car. So I went to where the car was (Props to Lehman Mazda) and I walked out there the same day with the car in my possesion. (I made them a deal, I left them a check for 2000 till I got the check from my bank, which i did the next day) When I brought the check from my bank the manager laughed and said he didnt think I would seriously bring the check in.

I took my brand spanking new 8 with the options I wanted (Manual, performance package, appearance package, and in Phantom Blue) and I showed it to potamkin and told them they couldve had me as a client, oh well guess they dont like money.

Im pretty sure youre talking about Alex Cisneros, and its a Air Force One front bumper and apperance package with a MS wing and bronze RHs.

Check the last page of the SFL auto-x thread, there are pics of his car there. I saw him on the turnpike extention one day and thought it was the MS kit too.

Very good service from a mechanic that owns a very hot RX-7. They worked on my 2004 RX8 and did a great job. They have also worked on other Mazda's I have owned.

OK. Thank you. I used the mechanic who works on my daughter's car, he works on almost anything. His name is Manny @Manolo Auto Repairs, 305.558.8752. I provided him the directions that I picked up from a couple of RX-8 forums to deflood an engine. He also researched the topic. He spent a couple of hours, replaced the spark plugs, and managed to get started it. In a short amount of time he became very knowledgeable on the RX-8, and he is willing to research and review input gathered from these forums. I will try the Mazda specialist for my suspension system.
