It's one thing to have relative high gas mileage for your car.

It's another thing when a car that's go more power than the 8 has better mileage than the 8....

I'm seriously having doubts bout getting a 8 now.....

Don't take this the wrong way: Please Dan, if gas mileage is your deal breaker, get the G35 and spare us. Some of us are really tired of hearing it. We love the car regardless and most of us bought it knowing this. Honestly, I think the G35c gets 1-2 mpg better.

if you care about gas mileage you REALLY should rethink getting this car. i didn't buy the car knowing that the mileage was *THAT* bad. I read it was worse than advertised but I was under the impression it was only 1 mpg less. But let me say that even then I love the car. a lot of people here would say "it's a sports car, live with it" but seriously getting 3mpg less than the epa for pure city when i drive "granny" style is pretty sad. this really is the only issue i really wish i could get fixed.

you can roll the dice on mileage and just get the 8, but from what i've seen.... a small chunk gets absurdly bad mileage. a very large chunk gets bad mileage. a sizable chunk gets the mileage as advertised. and a small chunk gets insanely good mileage. some people on this forum don't get under 20mpg even if they drive mostly city and push their cars relatively hard. you could experience this with your 8, but chances are you'll get mileage worse than you would expect. it's a roll of the dice.

Dan, did you read the edmund's thing wrong or did I?? It doesn't say that the G35 gets better milage than the 8, it gets worse milage, 17.6 for the RX8 vs. 15.6 for the G35.....

As gas mileage is much worse in day to day driving as is advertised. Why don't we start a Class Action lawsuit and sue Mazda. Maybe we'd get some compensation. Like free '06 Turbo 8's.

I'm half serious... Half kidding...
