View Full Version : 05 FINALLY being put on website
Jedi54 10-20-2004, 08:59 AM Hey Everyone,
I just received the following email from Mazda North America:
Dear Jorge,
Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate
the opportunity to respond to you.
In regard to your inquiry, our website will be updated with the 2005
model year vehicles by the end of this week. For your convenience, I've
placed a 2005 Mazda RX-8 vehicle brochure in the mail to you today.
Rupes 10-20-2004, 11:49 AM They're a little slow on the uptake eigh?
-Rupes
They need a better website. Hopefully they'll update that too.
Battousai 10-20-2004, 12:47 PM Heh at least Mazda Canada was faster on one thing, cause I think the 05s have been up on the Mazda.ca site for a couple weeks at least :)
RX-Hachi 10-20-2004, 12:57 PM It's about time! Sheesh, talk about slow, just about every other car maker has updated their sites long ago. Since it has taken so long, it better be a damn good make over!
draco067 10-20-2004, 01:16 PM I emailed them in September actually, and they said "next month", so this is right on schedule, whatever that schedule may be :D
Cattywampus 10-20-2004, 01:31 PM Hey draco067. Your cat looks pissed
Jedi54 10-20-2004, 08:36 PM Yeah, about freakin' time, huh?
Well, it could be worse... At least I haven't seen a white '05 yet because then it would remind me about how SLOW Mazda NA can be and it really would have pissed me off.
They need a better website. Hopefully they'll update that too.
I completely agree with that! ESPECIALLY since I checked out Acura's website! The virtual tour option ROCKS!!
Check it out if you're bored, it's quite fun... (especially testing the 6 sp TL)
MadDashRX8 10-20-2004, 09:33 PM I saw my first Maytag white RX-8 last weekend in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Not sold on the color... Suprised we cannot take a look at it already on the mazdausa site.
DrRockin99 10-20-2004, 10:10 PM The Dealer in my home town has two of the White '05s , one is a automatic that I looked at , the other I saw when I turned the corner and didn't go back and see what it was . Since I work across the street from it , and was there often dreaming , I would say they have had them about 3 to 4 weeks. Dealers get the '05s before the website . Go figure!
Rupes 10-20-2004, 11:34 PM The white just isn't very flattering to me, but to each his own! ;)

black-rx8-msbodykit 10-20-2004, 11:44 PM Hey Everyone,
I just received the following email from Mazda North America:
In San diego mazda dealership, they had the 05 rx8 2 month ago, i thought it was just a new color for rx8 lol :)
ZoomZoomH 10-20-2004, 11:50 PM they're 'updating' the website right now.....
quack_p 10-21-2004, 02:11 AM I love that intro Flash animation. Start the revolution! Put that on TV and they'll sell lots of 8's. Oops, bite my tongue!
draco067 10-21-2004, 06:00 AM 2005 searching is available now :)
Jedi54 10-22-2004, 10:30 AM Okay, now I'm really confused...
2005's were available for searching last night even though the website was CRAWLING....
I just checked a minute ago and it's back to the 2004's....
Makes you wonder who hired these webmasters, huh?
draco067 10-22-2004, 11:53 AM But in that window of, say, yesterday :D I managed to find a car I want :D should be getting it this weekend as long as the dealers play nice (out of state dealer transfer)
Jedi54 10-22-2004, 10:09 PM Wow, AWESOME!
I configured an '05 last night (and saved it) but when I checked this morning, all it had was a configuration for an '04 I had done a while back.
On a side note: I am VERY impressed with Mazda North America! (believe it or not)
I just received the brochure they had said they were going to send me... in ONLY 3 days! :D
Overport 10-22-2004, 10:18 PM Mazda's website is extremely slow in the update department (and just about everything else). Glad to see some updates finally. They need a whole new website imo.
