Ok...I decided on what wheels.

After racking my brain on this one for about 2 wks and looking at every possible wheel out there I decided to go with the SSR Comps in anthrocite 18x8.5 +45 offset. The shoes are BFGoodrich g-force KWD2's 245/40/18. I just hope the anthrocite looks good on the sunlight silver.

EXCELLENT choice of wheel! Looks great, significantly lighter than stock too. We'll be interested to hear what you think of those tires!

Regards,
Gordon

Not to put a wrench in things but here it is anyway....

I was told not to get the comps because they were too light... easy to break.. and take about 2 months to get from japan if you do break one.

for myself... I am struggeling about which wheel to get.. 17" or 18".. but I want to keep the 225 tire size. The wheel I am looking at is the FN01R-C from 5Zigen.

If I can break a semi-solid forged wheel I'm driving the wrong car.....Big Foot here I come.

I looked at those wheels to. They are even harder to get than the Comps. I was told there are only two of those wheels in the U.S. No joke.??? But nice choice.

Yeah.. vivid seems to have them for 1100.. I like the look of both the comps and the FN01R-C.. would much rather go for a sporty look than something shiney and pretty..

I also looked into the Axis Reverbs but didn't like the piano black finish on them. I just hope the anthrocite looks good on the silver. The good thing is if I do crack one up the place I got them will replace with no prob. I don't think I'll be hitting ramps with them though.

excellent wheel combo 18 and 8.5, 245's - i think they give the setup more beef without sacrificing performance...

Edit: I figure i should put all the info about my wheels before i get questioned and hijack this thread.......
[/thread hijack]
The wheels are 18x8.5 with an offset of 38... The tires are falken 451 245/40/18. TPMS do work on this wheel and i've had no problems. They are fragile wheels, so i would watch out for any curbs(haven't had problems with potholes).
[\end of thread hijack]

Love the SSR comps and good luck with them

Ok.....I picked the wheels up today and had them installed. I also had them weigh the new against the old. Overall I saved 8 1/2 pounds on each corner. The wheels look hot on the silver in anthrocite. (I will take pics and post) Driving wise the acceleration IS more spirited from the weight savings. The BFGoodrich G-force KDW 2's are extremely sticky and are by far the best performance tire I have ever used (amazing). Pics to come soon.

Where did you order the wheels and tires from? Discounttiredirect doesnt have the SSR Comps. Do you have a website?

I ordered the wheels through a local place here...Car Boutique. So through there vendors. Altogether I paid $2600 mounted and balanced out the door. I know tire rack has them and even has a pic of them mounted on a winning blue. The pics don't do the wheels justice....the are hot in person. check out www.tirerack.com
