Remind me to put Manitoba on my short list of places I will never live, right behind Bahgdad. I'm from Scandinavia and we don't even get snow in May. Do you realize the weather in Reykjavik is warmer than Winnipeg right now? XcelR8 05-13-2004, 10:35 PM At least they still have the Christmas lights up for the snow fall!!!! whosyourbaba 05-13-2004, 10:52 PM umm, what the crap! It's freakin SNOW! \\Konig\\ 05-13-2004, 11:17 PM good lookin rx8. No comments here about the snow... bowman 05-13-2004, 11:24 PM Nice pics. That's some kind of luck about the snow. FWIW, we've had snow in April in Missouri so I'm not surprised. WHealy 05-14-2004, 12:04 AM pauleta, At least you know you caused the snow! :D Hang in there, warm weather is right aroudn the corner for at least a couple months straight! skuzbucket 05-14-2004, 09:02 AM Back in college - we placed bets on how late in the year it would snow. I won one year with a bet of after JULY 4th.... Snowed about 2 inches on the 10th of July. Boy did that suck. Drove an 86' 626 GT (fun fun non rotary mazda) Duluth, Minnesota is a weird place. It snowed once in early September - AND IT STUCK UNTIL MAY of the NEXT YEAR!!! ISH..... I need to move to Fiji Meowloud 05-14-2004, 09:06 AM Come down here bucket... we have our own tropical rain forest. 80 - 90 and raining for 2 weeks. In February it hit 80. Not too shabby! (Please tell me it's a regional thing and that everyone leaves their Christmas lights up?! :D ) Gord96BRG 05-14-2004, 02:33 PM Originally posted by MazdaManiac ITS FREAKING MAY !!?! It's pretty normal to get at least one spring snow storm in May - the rule of thumb for gardeners is to not plant anything until the May long weekend (2nd last weekend of May). Spring weather is variable - 2 weeks ago, temperatures were in the high 70s. One big advantage - it's still ski season here! Golfing etc. in the cities, but one hour drive away - Sunshine Village ski area (http://www.sunshinevillage.com/) , in the Banff Rocky Mountains. Ski season doesn't end for another two weeks, and even then it's only because people stop going, there's usually good snow well into June. The latest I skied there was July 1! (that was in 1990 - it was pretty unusual to have good snow that late - they closed the ski area the second week of June, but re-opened for the July 1 weekend  ) Regards, Gordon |
