Has anyone from the UK had these reflashes done?

I am getting dire MPG too and wandered into my local dealer and requested a reflash to improve it.

He hadnt heard of them so referred my request to Mazda technical and got the response that these reflashes dont exist and my 8 must not be reflashed under any circumstance !!!

Has anyone else out these asked for the reflash and did you get anywhere with it?

Draig, if you have not found this one yet, it's a UK based forum that may have UK specific info that may interest you.

Mazda Belgium says that nothing is available. No TSB so far!

Not sure if it applies to you guys across the pond. Most of the issues related to the reflash for North American owners are due to the changing of fuel maps to accomodate catalytic converter life requirements by the American EPA. This richer fuel schedule is what has been the cause of many of the flooding, rough idle and hard start problems for some owners here. If you got the fuel maps that Japan got, then you should be just fine. :)
