Guys please help

I have a customer's car in the shop that's been turboed.

The car pulls strongly through all rev ranges and load bands. However, as soon as it hits around 8000 RPM it falters and won't rev higher.

We've changed coils, leads, plugs, etc in order to determine if it is related to the ignition, to no avail.

I've also been through the management with a magnifying glass to see if there's not a setting somewhere that's causing it to limit at 8000.

What can the cause be?

What are you using to tune it?
Stock ECU?

How about you post a data log of said problem.

What year?
Auto or Manual

Are you sure you are getting enough fuel?
Stock fuel pump?
Fuel Pressure?
Injector size?

Turbo size might play a role as well. Low or high power car? not sure about what was sold in SA, it's pretty far away

 

RC injectors and Walbro 255 pump. Found the problem though. And then clipped the turbo. Revs like hell now.
