thought i give the rx a test around a hairpin turn and i was surprised that at 70k/m (i think) the carslid a little sideways...

i had the DSC on and i might be new to this but, i thought dsc controlled the engine torque so you couldn't go slding to the extent that i did....

DSC will let you get a little out of shape before it kicks in. There are a few corners where I can reliably kick the rear end out before DSC reels me in.

I've experimented a fair bit with the DSC on, half off and full off and have found that the system is at times a little "tempermental".

Sometimes when its feeling alright, it'll let you have a bit of fun even with the DSC on , but sometimes it just fakes a headache and goes to sleep right away ;)

I've found a few rough corners also, where DSC will over-react because one wheel drops into a dip and the DSC must think the body is rolling a little too much.

When I had the car for the first week. I had the car slide off when power on. I did not dare to push on although people say it will certainly kicks in to minimize any oversteer. The EBD will minimize the understeer when turning and oversteer under hard braking. That is when I mostly see it flashing

Also, as that wheel drops into a dip it is momentarily less loaded, and therefore providing less grip, therfore some DSC might come intoplay to compensate.

I agree that sometimes it seems to "kick-in" earlier than other times.

I have been doing some work with "Hidden Markov Modelling", and part of that is working out the probability of the next "state" based on the current "state". I wonder if it uses HMM to predict.... Hmmm. Bit far fetched me thinks.
