DIY on tuning?? how to load custom maps (for noobs)?

DIY on tuning?? how to load custom maps (for noobs)?
Ok so after searching the forum, I havent been able to locate any kind of DIY for tuning. I would like to learn how to load maps onto my ecu, but I dont really have any kind of knowledge on what to do (short of having to plug some kind of data tool into the accessport)
Is there any DIY on how to tune/ load maps onto the ecu (for those of us who don't have any former knowledge)? Or maybe just a link to some good info where one could learn.
I know Im not the only one looking to load custom maps on their ecu, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I saw that, If I had the time and money to spare I probably would, but I'm not really planning on going that deep, just looking to load stage 1 map to get it a little better than the stock map.
First, you need the hardware such as the Cobb accessport in order to reflash your ecu. Second, you need someone who is capable of producing custom maps that are specific to your car and it's current mods. Anyone you ask on this forum is going to recommend mazda maniac for this service. This is definately something you do not want to attempt on your own unless you are seeking to buy a new engine once you destroy your currrent one.

This is not DIY, and for the stage one... I think is best the stock one... they are like one fits all kinda maps

There are various threads in the ECU sections of this forum where people have documented processes for tuning on the accessPORT and other platforms. There are no technical DIY's on tuning because the process is not comprised of simple steps. Tuning requires an understanding of not only the data you are inputing but the data you are receiving.
Before you even purchase a COBB, you might want to view the following :
So you want to be a tuner?
Once you can read that whole document without feeling like your head is going to explode or having to take pain killers from the headaches you'll be ready. Otherwise I would strongly advise against using an actual car as your test subject because a serious mistake will cost you about 50 times what Mazdamaniac's Web Seminar will.
I would also strongly advise against using the Stage 1 Cobb map as the RX8 is too diverse of a car for off the shelf maps. The results do vary and not in a good way.
