I'm looking to buy a water temp adapter for a gauge setup.
I'm curious as to what size water temp adapter people buy (excluding the racing beat) for the upper radiator hose? I was reading that 34mm might leak? So I can get a 36mm adapter but in that case would the upper radiator hose accomodate that? Is there enough give?

Gotta ask.......since it's available on the OBDII port.......why not just get the reading from there?

Did you try searching? I've seen pics of that style adaptor posted on this site.

Pics, thats all they are. Problem is the Prosport makes those in 34mm or 38mm. I'm not sure which people are using.
And Mazurfer, yeah I usually do that with my AP but I can get rid of that all together by having true gauges :)

I may be draining mine today. Will check if I do. Should be able to just measure the neck which won't lose/require much coolant if you want to do it yourself.

I'd really appreciate that ;)

It's 34mm at the water outlet...
If you put an adapter in an old hose..it will be stretched..so you should use a silicone or a new hose :)

Yeah, after I wrote that I saw you had an AP and figured that was at least going to be some of the reason for you interest.

If you're worried about leaking you could always add small T-clamps.

it should be 34mm
Silicone hose doesn't not stretch. at least the Japanese one I got does not. it was a nightmare trying to fit it in ...

Stock lower hose on mine at about 50K miles was stretched to over 38mm in the middle....
That's why I recommended silicone ones...they don't stretch out like the stock rubber ones do
