Sh!t, Sh!t, Sh!t.
The Wheels COTY front page has the RX8 on it (of course) ... but the bloody thing is yellow!
I hope you all realise that we are never going to hear the last of this. Short of Mazda Australia bringing out a limited edition RX8 "Lock & Load Special", I don't think things could get much worse :(
At least someone will be smiling :)

I know, and I am … just … cringing!
On the other hand, my suspicions are that MA always have a Yellow one around because they can't … sell … them :D
Oh timbo - you're right of course. No red ones available!!!
There are none so blind...

But I have the best news. And prooved it. Red RX-8's are measurable faster then Yellow ones :)
Just ask L&L.
I think the real reason - give your car plenty of stick to teach it properly, and use BP Ultimate, not Craptimax!
Cheers,
Hymee.
I'm too tired to post graphs now, but I will.

Hymee has failed to mention that after doing various runs in both the yellow and red RX8S we stopped and explained to a group of road construction workers as to what we were doing .(testing the cars )
We asked the conztruction crew as to which car colour they liked the best ?????????????
They replied saying red was good but they really liked the YELLOW best .ha ha ha
Hymee was not upset because he was driving my yellow car at the time, so they thought that he was the owner of the yellow RX8.he he he

well, all I know is there's a yellow one around here near my work... I've had 3 different people come up to me and say the same thing "Saw a yellow one... ummm, they're horrible!" :D Probably biased because they get to see the best colour every day anyway, but I would have to agree with them... I know the yellow one I have seen has 60 y/o woman driving it too... ;) Guess there had to be a colour made for the non-enthusiasts :D:D:D

The moral of this story is do not buy a yellow RX8 unless you want to pick up a construction worker or someone from the Village People.
LOL!

Does this mean L&L has been pussyfooting his 8? :p
Actually, this 'learning' thing has me interested. I think my 8 has 'learnt' that its normal drive is a 120kph cruise Cbr-Syd-Cbr, during which it happily drinks Ultimate at the rate of 12.2L/100k, and will never drink at less than this rate, even if I switch off a/c, cruise more slowly (such as after making donation to NSW Police fund ;) ) or because the traffic is heavy.
Has made me think of resetting the ECU and trying reform school. But is reform likely?
