I noticed today that if the car is warmed up, I am in drive and I'm stopped I get a lot of vibration in the car, RPMs are steady just above the 750 mark.
If the car is warmed up, I am in park and the engine is on, I do not get this vibration and idle RPMs are at the same place.
Engine mounts or something else? it is a constant vibration until I start moving again.

Possibly the engine mounts.
Have you received any misfire codes lately (especially if you drive above 7k RPM)?
This could point to an ignition problem (spark plugs, wires, and/or coils).

no codes or funky lights on.
it all seems fine other wise, it accelerates no problem and I can push it the red line without it hesitating anywhere.

I am going to say its your motor mounts. How many miles on you coils and spark plugs?

coils/plus - no idea. car at 26000 miles on it. I got the car when it had 19000

Its not unusual that the spark plugs and/or coils will cause this.
Might be best to change out the plugs... especially since you don't know when they were changed out (if ever).

unfortunetly I cannot spend 300 dollars to get new plugs, coils, wires. just finished paying off christmas, vacation and all our bills. I also just spent like 800 dollars over the last 30 days on car stuff.
curious though, what is the average service cost to get engine mounts replaced? Is it easy to tell if they are broken? I am going to have the car on jacks this weekend.

With the front wheels off you can see the mounts, inspect them for cracks.
The passenger side is more prone to failure since its by the exhaust manifold.
I would start with just new spark plugs. You can get all 4 for about $80 from various sources.

thanks, I'll check out the mounts this weekend and see. I hope they are not broken because I suspect it's pricey to fix and not covered under any of the warranties.
