So there is this deal going on at a local aftermarket shop, and the bodykit for the m1 kit is only 297, and it includes front bumper, sideskirts and the rear apron thing.

I know ED is shitty and all, but for 300 bucks, it is tempting to get, especially because i had my front bumper damaged by some lady, and insurance is paying for the damages. so i probably dont have to pay alot to have them paint a aftermarket bumper vs the oem. even if the front bumper goes down cause of shitty fitment, the rear and the sides should be still ok.

also, i live in canada.. so 300 bucks is a good deal since i dont have to pay for shipping and brokerage.

so what do you guys think? yay or nay?

Look at the company name.

It'll cost more to get it to fit than an authentic well fitting kit.

EXTREME DIMENSIONS.... They make just that.

You're going to run into lots of trouble with replica kits in general. The front, sides, and the rear all have horrible fitment. If you're okay with that, go for it. If not, try to find an alternative solution. You can always get the OEM bumper with an aftermarket lip in the future.

i'd get it for 300 if I were you... especially if insurance is paying for it.
why not give it a try?

yup insurance from the other party will be paying for it. which is estimated at 2600 for just damaging my front bumper and fender. slightly hit my rims hence the price is so high

but il be just replacing bumper and fender.

i just bought the kit, if its no good, well its no big deal :) 300 bucks and i should have pocket change left over after the fixing

expect double that on fitment and labor

with 2600 you can get an authentic kit, painted and then some other goodies. don't waste your time on replicas.

if fitment sucks, you can always sell it on the forums for $300. someone will buy it.

then, buy an authentic kit.

a simple search for 'extreme dimensions' would have pulled up hundreds of threads warning you against them.. don't do it!

to be honest, im not too picky on how perfect the fitment is... aslong as its not gapped by an inch then im happy.

2600 is the total estimate for repairs, which i intend to get some money back because i am not fixing the rim... also i checked with a dealership the ms front bumper is almost 1600 alone... so let see how this 300 dollar product goes, i will update with pictures probably 3 weeks later...

iknow im reviving this but how did it turn out? im looking at the M-1 for my S2, its a shitty cheap base to start and custom work needs to be done to fit to the newer headlight style anyway.
