It's really been kind of odd. brothervoodoo 01-16-2004, 06:02 PM All models should have it, it's not very loud and at first you need to really pay attention to what to listen for. KFence27 01-16-2004, 06:28 PM The engine drowns out most of the BEEEEEEP and more than that, the sirens of the police officers chasing me....needless to say they cant catch me. Boneknot 01-17-2004, 03:34 PM Thanks for the input. Ill take her out later and listen REAL close. Pavehawk 01-17-2004, 08:14 PM I hit this on my second test drive. It was barely audible beneath the screaming 9000 RPM. I probably wouldn't have done it if the car wasn't their demo car with 7k+ miles on it. red_rx8_red_int 01-17-2004, 10:40 PM All models have the rev lim buzzer. You shoud hear it daily or your not driving it right. It is really not hard to hear you just need to know what it sounds like and listen for it. It makes an excellant shift indicator. Next time you get in your car, turn the radio off, and floor it. Don't let off. You will learn much! Don't let off. You will learn much! I do that and I DON"T hear the buzzer! Guess I need to have ther dealer have a look at the buzzer to make sure it is connected. I do hear a sound like a distant ambulance siren when I am accelerating - but I'll post a new thread about that. |
