hey guys. my motor overheated and im replacing it with a motor from a 8 that was rearended with 15k miles on it. i was sold just the block, and i was wondering if you guys would be able to tell me what parts i need and what parts i would be able to salvage of the old motor. thanks in advanced.

You should be OK with the old parts off your long block......

Carefully remove the bits/ clean and lube, and transplant to the new block and you should be good to go. You should get new injector o-rings and grommets and might need a few gaskets and seals...depends what kind of shape your old ones are..IE the intake rubber seals

You might want to have the injectors cleaned...and replace the thermostat just to be sure..

a leak in the radiator/broken goose neck on reseviour tank+103 weather+stop and go traffic+=fail.
