I drive an auto 8 and notice contstant pinging/detonation upon acceleration at low and medium rpm's. i did some research on the new "renesis" rotary engine and it seems that it runs under a high compression ratio. however, 91 oct. should take care of the engine knock but it has not. i believe this can do damage to the engine, looking at page 4-2 of the manual as well as other research i have done. i only use 93oct. but still hear this constant detonation. anybody else with this problem.
