Hi, just wondering if it is safe to use fuel injector cleaner fuel additives into a rotary engine. I generally use fuel additive cleaners for my other cars (diesel and petrol). I read somewhere in this forum that the injector cleaners can get into the combustion chambers, clean the carbon deposits and get it lodged and cause carbon locking. Is this true?
If it is safe, how regularly would I need to use the additive to keep the injectors clean?
BTW, I run Premium 97 fuel (plus non synthetic mineral oil changed every 5000km) so its pretty high octane as it is. Do I really need a cleaner? Car has 5000km on it.
