Hey guys,

The other day, like two months ago, I was on the highway on my way to work and I downshifted and accelerated very quickly to pass a car. In the middle of this little manuver my check coolant light came on for about 15 seconds and then went away and I hadn't seen it since. So I didn't think anything of it.

However, today I pulled the same little manuver and it happened again but stayed on slightly longer this time. I was going roughly 75mph when this happened.

Is this anything I should be worried about or should I just top off the coolant?

Any advice would be great thanks!

if your coolant level is topped off, then you're gonna need a whole new reservoir tank. i'm having this exact same problem, along with several other members...

Very common issue. Bad coolant sensor, dealer will replace the whole overflow tank. As long as your level looks ok there is no problem driving it. I am waiting for one from my dealer but they said it's back ordered :(

I would burp the system.

Open up cap when car is cold. Let her run until hot. Best done at an angle.

I think that I just need to top off the coolant Problem is I'm having trouble seeing where the coolant level is on the side of the resevoir they didnt make it easy to check

if anybody has an old coolant bottle with bad sensor that they want to sell me for like $20 I need one... mine is busted where the radiator cap screws on and sprays my coolant out causing my car to overheat... I don't care about the level sensor, I just got laid off and can't afford $150 for a new coolant bottle... pm me if you wanna help a brother out.
