I need to take my 04 rx8 into the shop because I think the release bearing on the clutch is going out and from what everyone has told me it's covered under the 60k extended warranty. I called Jim Ellis Mazda and they told me it wasn't covered and only automatic transmission parts are covered with that. Is there a dealership in Atlanta that will honor this better than Jim Ellis and actually know what they are talking about?

I don't think clutch parts are covered under the extended warranty - depending on which one you bought. You might want to call the company you purchased the warranty from, they'll be the best place to get the information you want.

sorry i wasn't too clear on that. it's the factory powertrain warranty that i was talking about that was extended out to 5 yrs/60k.
