hey guys just thought i would show you my coils project. all together it took me 4 hours.
2.5 to fabricate the Yukon brackets
1.5 to install

i started by getting an old oem bracket and some aluminum.

cut the aluminum into bendable strips and bent them to hold the coils about 3/4 an inch off the oem bracket. i then test fitted the coils on the oem bracket and they fit beautifully so i drilled/riveted the aluminum brackets to the oem one and bolted them in. could be a little cleaner but overall they look decent.

install was a snap.

all together i spent 300 dollars on everything.

heres the pics.

You didint mention anything about making the wirring.

How long did it take and what did you use to make the connectors?

Good job.

What did you do for the harness?

me and charles worked something out for the harness.....i was gonna make one but didnt know what the 4th wire was for....i guess its just a ground....but either way charles' option was easier overall. he also made the plug wires for me. the harness and sp wires cost more than the coils, lol....but money saved is money earned. right? i saved about $200 making the bracket and buying my own coils. but bhr's set is much nicer, stronger, and eaiser to install.

you could make your own harnes just buy a 40 ebay harness and splice them in, then add a ground to each coil.

i had this chat with Ray as well. $300 for you to install with about 4 hours is great! but for me, the extra $200 for the BHR setup is worth it. but i'm glad everything worked out for you man, looks very very good!!

so no noticeable performance increase???
