I think I've been the victem of a "small" keying!

Walked out of Mazzio's for lunch, noticed some white on my driver side suicide door. It's about 4 inches long and you can't take your fingernail over it. Looks like keying, but it's just that little place. Weird how I never noticed it before.

And I'm not as angry as I thought I would be. I mean, it sucks since there isn't an easy way to fix that...but...hm.

Just felt like venting a little bit.

maybe someone had metal on their clothes or bag and rubbed against it? Seems to me like if you're going to key a car, they'd make it not questionable.

The fact I didn't notice it until I went to lunch means someone coulda done it while I was at Best Buy or at lunch. If that's the case, there are a lot of people around and they didn't want to take the time to make sure it was great?

I dunno. I'd imagine the metal on the pants/jacket or whatever is plausible. It's rather deep, so they would have to be laying on it...

Oh. Well that sucks either way man. I hate when other people mess up your car out of disrespect for your property. I have a fat door ding to prove it.

I noticed a couple of light scratches like that a while back on my door and trunk lid, only to realize that it was from the steel bracelet of my watch scratching the paint when closing the door and trunk. The paint on the 8 seems pretty easy to scratch.

Yeah, I never wear watches when I'm doing anything with the car anymore

Good thing I don't wear watches! :p

The more I'm thinking...it could have been from my back pack that I use for work when hauling my Laptop...

Sounds like it's not a buff-out thing, if his fingernail can land into it.

Watch out for belt buckles, keychains, phone clips, etc. It's so annoying when I'm trying to wipe my sunroof or something and I hear a nasty scratch because I forgot to take off a keychain or something...
