View Full Version : Broken stud on the housing

I was changing my water pump and while installing it , I over torqued the nut and broke one of the studs on the housing.

I cant seem to get the broken stud off so i am wondering if there is no leaking from the water pump , can i just leave the broken stud there?

No, remove the stud and replace it, no big deal.

It should slide out the back right? tap with a hammer and should b able to grab it on the backside of the motor....I think...

all i have right now is a plier
gonna buy a vicegrip and see if i can get it off.
