Anyone know for sure what happens to the cars after they come off the boat up in Port Hueneme and before they go onto the trucks to the dealerships?
I'd guess that they prolly fill/test the a/c units, but might they also add items lilke the 6-CD changer, the NAV package or maybe even the rotary accent and appearance group items?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I don't know where I put it, but the dealer I bought mine from had a list of port installed options such as the appearance pkg. I do not remember all of them, but beyond adding these types of items they had no info on what else goes on at the port. Sorry the info isn't worth much...but that's what I know.
Alot of stuff goes in at the port like the 6 CD changer and the accent packages. You might want to try searching the forum. There have been many threads in the past on port installed options.

I'm pretty sure Navigation is a built in factory option. It wouldn't be added at the port.

Thanks for the advice, Haze... I had performed a search but didn't use the proper syntax. "Port installed options" being the best way to search it. Thanx.

If you look under the hood, there is a sticker (at least on mine) that says 'port campaign'. This is sort of like a recall a friend told me who is with Toyota mgmt. I told him about the reflash/detune issue and he said that is probably what it shows. Mine also shows several options that are port installed.
Anyone else have this sticker? My car is an early vin mfg in August.
