2 possibilities:

2 Feb - yuck, more than a month away.

4 Jan - has my vote, that's next sunday.

I'd like to go... but am unable to on jan4.
I have a work schedule that keeps me boarding through the winter......tues and wens off.
But I now have blown out my knee for a few weeks and could adjust my schedule a bit to take some time off on the weekends.

Sooo..... If anyone can agree on a date later than jan 4 but before feb ....I AM ALL IN!!!!

Man, we really need a board that is vehicle independent. Playing middle man is a PITA, and I'm on vacation right now. Come 5 Jan, I'll be working 60hrs a week again and wont have as much time to keep both sides of the rotary pond informed.

So ...

Sorry to blatantly plug it again, but this multi-forum stuff just to schedule a drive is nuts.

Absolutely. It's about the drive, not the superior power plant in 7's & 8's

1 yes, 1 maybe from the 8 forum.

and it looks like 1 yes, 1 maybe from the 7 forum.

I'm still planning on making the run on the 4th, hope to see more folks there. Need to chose a meeting place.

Okay, we need a meeting spot in Vancouver.

Since I'll be driving for a couple of hours before we even start the fun, I vote for someplace I can stretch my legs a bit, and with a nearby restroom.

At this point, there should be 3-5 cars coming, so we need to get this figured out.

I live about 8 miles from the PDX airport on the Vancouver side. I am not sure where to meet, what type of places do you usually meet at? The funny thing is everyone will know which car is mine right away :) "Hmmmm Rx8, Rx8,....?Jetta?..., Rx8, Rx8, Rx8. Which one could possibly be amysmojo!" haha

But seriously though, I am open for meeting pretty much anywhere.

amysmojo,
Living in Vancouver, you must know of a park or something that would serve as a good meeting spot.

Hello,

I'm game. My only concern is the weather that day, especially along the gorge. Count me in if there is no freezing weather in the forcast. I'll check back to see if a meeting place has been established. I hope the weather is nice! Or at least decent enough for me to ride with you all.

Still need a meeting place. I'm choosing to be optomistic on the idea of dry roads for this run.

Yea Im hoping for dry roads! I have no suggestions for a meeting place, sorry guys! I have never done this so I am not sure what type of places are good to meet at? I am about 6 - 8 miles from the PDX airport. Where is everyone else coming from?

175 mi north of Vanouver.

Okay, I did some research and here is what I propose.

Vancouver Lake County Park
6801 NW Lower River Road, Vancouver WA 98660-1008

I know absolutely nothing about the park, but parks are usually good places to meet up.

I havent been to that lake in SO long! It didnt even cross my mind. Sorry guys!;) As long as the weather will let me, I'll be there!! What time do you like to get these things started??

kristopher_d

Since I'll be 2+ hours just getting to the park, I suggest 11:00That should give us plenty of time to have some fun before I have turn around and go the other way.

I forgot to check the dates of the last few posts regarding a meeting place, but have you all seen the weather here lately? and the forcast for more nasty weather this weekend? Last I heard approx. 5 hours ago today (fri) chains were still required on the gorge. Unless a miracle happens or I am not talking about the same gorge as you all, I probobaly will not be attending. However, I am totally looking forward to doing this at another time.

As I'm watching more snow falling here in Redmond, I think we'll need to postpone this trip. As soon as the weather picture looks favorable, I'll start a new thread.

Well...damn kris! We were so close :( I would love to go on a run in the summer time. Those must be NICE, no forcast for snow etc :) Of course...I'd love to go anytime of the year! As long as you 8's will be there, I'll be there :p
