View Full Version : Any one try SR motorsports parts? intake, exhaust, pulleys? or power packages? ijt-rx8 04-19-2009, 08:22 PM I am wondering if anyone has tried any SR motorsports parts and how they perform? what can a stock rx8 expect to put to the rear wheels on the dyno? www.srmotorsports.com dannobre 04-19-2009, 08:39 PM Nowhere near what they say on the website ;) Intake, exhaust, pulleys...maybe 8-10 HP Fortunate Few 04-20-2009, 03:19 AM ive got their pulleys. they look nice. i dont think they make much of a difference. kersh4w 04-20-2009, 02:39 PM i like their intake. what dan said. Nopstnz8 04-20-2009, 02:44 PM i like their intake. what dan said. +1. Most members here haven't had good experience with their parts. Also, most of the performance claims on SR's website are false. Ross_Dawg 04-20-2009, 03:08 PM $2100 for a headerback + intake + pulleys? You're joking.... NoOdLe BoY 04-20-2009, 08:28 PM 37+ hp!!!!!!!! lol. kersh4w 04-21-2009, 01:18 AM their intake, while nice, is $400. that is ridiculous. renesisjim 04-25-2009, 01:23 PM I have there 9.25lb flywheel and I really like it. Made a huge difference in the car and it's rebuildable so no resurfacing when I change my clutch again. kersh4w 04-25-2009, 02:16 PM except it costs $499 BHR offers a 9lb flywheel for $375 Razz1 04-25-2009, 02:39 PM I have met with the owner 3 or 4 times. He is a good guy. HAven't heard of any problems with quality or reliabilty of their product. Only one person had an issue with the fly wheel. Fanman was one of the first to buy and use their parts. Other than the exaggerated HP claims the product is good. renesisjim 04-25-2009, 04:47 PM I bought mine this last summer w/ a act clutch kit and counterweight for less than 800 PRX8 05-04-2009, 07:42 AM slow shipping Highway8 05-04-2009, 10:50 AM If you are not thinking of me, make it two people. I also have their underdrive pulleys which are pretty sweet (but expensive!). I too have their underdrive pulleys. Not worth the money for the performance but got to have a little bling under the hood and before the mazmart waterpump came out, I needed the waterpump underdriven. Has BHR considered making some nice and more affordable pulleys? dradon03 05-04-2009, 10:52 AM You guys need to read this seriously. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=110682&highlight=shane+racing I wouldn't go near Shane Racing - SR Motorsports with a 1.5 Million foot pole. Also FWIW, there were plenty of those type of threads and they have silently been deleted since the IB Big brother takeover.... Flashwing 05-05-2009, 02:14 AM 5 years ago, when I bought my pulleys, I got them for the same reason as you, Highway; nothin' else left to spend money on! How about a car wash? |
