guys,

I'm about to buy a RX-8, actually I bought them already and I put down a holding deposit on both of them. But now, I need your help!!!

I have a decision to make. SHould I buy either:

Silver MT w/ appearance, rotary accent, spoiler, 6 disc CD changer. GOing for $27,000( out the door).

or

Titanium MT w/ sports package. Going for 26,500

I really want the titanium because it comes with the sports package (DSC, Xenons, fogs) but it doesn't come with appearance or spoiler...i can care less about the CD changer and rotary accent. However, i feel i can always add an aftermarket spoiler and body mods...

anyway, it's decision time and I'm just unsure!!! help me out guys!! thanks

By the way, i know i got good deals on both cars..."wheelin and dealin baby"!!!

get the titanium, and put the appearance package on aftermarket.

It sounds to me like you've already made up your mind. The sport items you mentioned are all useful safety items. You don't care about the CD. You can add appearance stuff later. Sounds like a no-brainer; don't know what's hanging you up. Is it the color?

Yeah...the color. But the titanium looks really sweet!!!

I guess it's the titanium!!!! Now, finding insurance.

Your dealer can include the CD changer and the spoiler in the deal and install them at the dealership. That's what I did.

it looks like the deal was made for just the sports package on the titanium. Besides, I really want to put a lip spoiler on mine!!! Know where I can find one????

I agree .... get titanium. Are those prices out the door including taxes and tags?

well, it's actually $27000 out the door but I'm also getting a $500 rebate!!! (graduated college May 2002)

so...the final price is $26,500!! awesome deal, huh?

Like all have said, go with the titananium. You mentioned insurance. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. My 8 was cheaper to insure than my Mustang V8. It's a new model and the insurance companies have no history with losses associated with it, so they've "been kind to it" so far. All this is based on quotes from a single agent in Houston. It could be different with other companies in other states.
