Has anyone had any problems with one of the auxiliary injection ports? I just took my car into the dealership yesterday for the new oil pan and to see what's up the CEL, and he tells me that there's a problem with one of my auxiliary injection ports. Apparently it is staying open or not closing correctly. The techs said it may be the motor for the port, but they didn't have that part in stock and they didn't want to spend the 2 hours taking it apart to then find out that it was the port motor. I'm supposed to take it in the 30th to have the work done, but they're still not sure if that port motor's actually the problem. My dealer said they may have to pull out the engine and start taking it apart and it could take days(....sigh...). So I'm gonna be stuck with a rental for awhile.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of this port problem or has it or anything, as I didn't see anything about it on the other threads.
On the plus side, my dealer's being really helpful about all this and when I took it in yesterday and said I had the engine oil light he immediately had the pan replaced (they had it in stock). They had all the TSB printouts (I had brought the oil one just in case) on their files and my dealer was keeping me updated on everything they're doing to my car and everything they know up to this point. Good experience with the dealer, just bad luck with the port.
