So I went out just now to start up my car and it started fine, but the CEL and TCS/DSC light came on and stayed on. Car is idling fairly high, and there's no response what-so-ever from the gas pedal. Anyone? I should mention that it's about -18 C outside right now.
Thanks.

Well, could be anything. If it's under basic warranty then have it towed to a dealer.
However,
Very cold weather and low battery voltage can produce all sorts of transient problems. The electric power steering consumes a ton of amps.
First, Let the car idle for few minutes so it doesn't flood when you shut it off.
Do a DSC reset. With ignition on, turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, then to the right, and re-center. Turn the engine off. This should reset the DSC light.
Take the car for a long (+30 mins) drive to replenish the battery.
The Check Engine light will probably turn off after a couple of drive cycles.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Went out a little later and started it and DSC light was off, got response from the gas pedal and CEL still on, which I can deal with. Dunno, something was just frozen, I guess.

Your initial problem sounds like what I am dealing with right now. ( http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=165147 )
If it happens again see if you can get the code. So far I haven't been able to fix my problem yet. Hopefully your issue isn't a hard fault.
Good luck to you!
