From what I've been able to read,....which has been nearly everythying on this Stage 1 unit, I don't believe I've heard anyone give any feedback on the Stage 1. From what I've been able to gather, he was beginning to ship late last month.

What I'd like to do here is to start a thread where people, once they have been shipped and have installed their Stage 1 in the 8, can return some feedback comments regarding the product.

#1.) How easy or hard was it to install based on the instructions provided. How long did it take you to install?
#2.) On a scale from 1-10, 1 being a complete novice and 10 being a certified Mechanic, where does the installation land?
#3.) Where you able to notice the increase in HP while riding? I believe this is the Butt Dyno everyone refers to. We know where the improvements are intended to be. Does the unit give the desired HP in the desired range
#4.) Have you put it on a dyno?
#5.) Your overall satisfaction with the product.

I will never be a Stage 2 man because the only mods I'm real interested in are aesthetic/body. But Based on all I've read regarding Can's Stage 1, I am seriously considering the extra HP just for the fun of it.

Marcus.

A couple of guys have experienced the Stage1 upgrade other than Canzoomer, there's a post on it in the Mazdaspeed/Aftermarket Performance forum.

here's the link to it :

If you had read everything you would know that the unit has not shipped yet. There have been a few reviews from some of the testers but nobody actually has the mod yet. We all hoping that CanZoomer comes through with a Christmas delivery.

Thanks RXHusker and Jag. I hadn't read it "all" and so I appreciate the heads up. I should suspect that when people start to receive them, I'm sure they'll voice their thoughts without prompting from me.

On a side note RXHusker, I just moved from Omaha to Fort Worth and bought my 8 down here. Been driving your 8 in that snow Omaha got about a week ago?

I have been out driving in the snow! With my snow tires and rims on the car handles fantastically. The DSC, low torque, 50/50 weight dist, and good snow tires make for a very capable winter driver. Turning off the DSC turns it into a very very fun spinning top. ;)
