Any thoughts on using it in the 8. Diesel oils are usually better than gasoline engine oils in a variety of ways.
What could they offer the RX8?

Give it a shot and let us know. 04RX8man 01-15-2009, 07:25 PM prob lower the mileage some but great protection especially if it can withhold a diesel motor...i know of ppl using 20w50 in their 8's so 15w40 would not b bad just might take some mpg away Icemark 01-15-2009, 09:47 PM I have used 15W40 Castrol Tection Extra for Diesel before in RX-7s but have not tried it in the 8 yet. Big advantage is that diesel oils are typically very very low in ash and cleaner burning that oils for standard automotive uses and still meets a SM certification rating. Really I have not seen any big differences when opening up 13B engines that have used it vs regular oils.
