when you overspray some of that black dashboard plastic shiny spray onto clear plastic parts, say the lenses of the instrument clusters, how do you get rid of that milky/smokey white residue left on the clear plastic? i'm tempted to just use windex and equivalent but am afraid it'll react with it and leave permanent marks. what do i do?

just fyi i didn't do this ;) the guy who sold me the car had it washed before delivery and whoever washed the car is no interior detailer

i got some aerospace 303 on the red display above the radio once and didnt noticed till it had dried into a very tough film. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser took it right off and left no markings
