new LSD here i come...

well, at about 17500 miles, i noticed the cars rear would shutter on slow tight turns (like during parking into tight spots) plus excessive inside tire spin at road courses. i took my car to the dealership but they were unable to reproduce the problem. over time, the car has gotten worse with wheel binding at high speeds plus noise increase from th rear diff.

finally, on my way up to SEMA this weekend, the damn thing blew out. a moderate launch from a stop now causes my left tire to bind and my right tire to break loose. at 66K miles and with JIC fltA2 coilovers, no dealership will look at the fact that i had this problem WAY early so i guess its time. ive searched this site for aftermarket LSD reviews but the only thing ive found is when TEAMRX8 said he recomended the KAAZ unit.

is there anyone else who has done this upgrade? i really dont feel like rebuilding the stock lsd since i have a greddy turbo kit in my garage waiting to be installed.

G-man,

I have the Kaaz 2-way LSD, but I am now biased and I can't compare it to any other. However, I do have two words to say: get it.

Yeah, if yours blew out its a fluke. The stock LSD is pretty sturdy.

do you get a lot of lift off understeer? how do you think it will work for short tracks like streets of willow or autocrossing? im leaning towards the 1.5 way

for that type of racing, go with the 1.5. the 2.0 is better for drift.
