Anybody heard of a Vredestein Wintrak 95 VXL tire? How does this stack up against the bridgestone blizzak LM22 or Pirelli etc?

I'm looking for winter tires for stock rims

Vredestien's are generally great tires . . . if you can find them. I can't even believe that you mentioned it. The last time that I checked, Vredestien was selling through only a handful of retailers in the US. Unfortunately, I have not owned a Vredestien in a decade because they have not made anything that was right for any of my previous cars. Therefore, I really can't help you in telling you how they stack up against the current imports, but I can tell you that they are a small production tire from Holland, which is generally highly regarded in Europe. Maybe you should post this in a Euro. forum since they will have much greater access to these tires to advise you. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

I know Vredestein makes great bike tires. Doesn't really help you I suppose.

With Haze's comment about Vredeteins only being available through a handful of retailers and since you're in MD, you might want to call Radial Tire in Silver Spring. I *think* that they carry them.
