Hi, I received the JDPower Navigation survey, but I didn't get that on my 8. First person to MSG me I'll let them answer the questionaire (30 questions).

i've got the navtech system.

edit:

here i'll save ya some time. It's very easy to use, very convenient. i'm happy with it and it's just cool to have. My only gripe is that damn disclaimer message that always pops up the first time you open the navtech upon starting the car. i realize that is probably required by law, but it sure is annoying. also, when it's cold (about 50 degrees) and I start the car in the morning and open the navtech, the screen will be blank (most likely has to do with the dvd drive). it will come on if i close it and reopen it though. i've only noticed this behavior in cold weather.

OK then, I'll take Winning_BlueRX8's input for the survey.

JD Power didn't do a good job of surveying who had the nav system. I got one of the surveys, too. And a few days LATER a post card that told me I was going to receive the survey. Too bad one of the questions was not "Do you have the navigation system on your car?"

JD sent me the survey and I filled it out already

THanks, but I already went through the pain of it once - took me about a half-hour to answer the questions. You neglected to mention they're like 30 10-part questions :D

it's funny that after I posted about the nav system being great, I'm starting to have problems with it. In cold weather (roughly 40-50 degrees Farenheit) the damn thing won't come on. I noticed it before happening once or twice, but now it's consistent. Needless to say, this aggrevates me very much. Do all nav systems have this problem, or just the RX8's? I find it hard to believe that the RX8 wasn't tested in cold weather conditions, so what gives? I leave the DVD in my car at all times because my salesman told me that Mazda claimed it could withstand the heat (although he advised me to take it out anyways, just in case). He never mentioned cold weather performance. Mikeb, have you had similar problems with your NavTech ?
