So according to the manual it's normal for this light to stay on for a couple of seconds after starting the car up. Mine stays on for like the first few miles then turns off. Is this actually an issue or does it just take longer to register sometimes?

 

Check your air pressure... Mine used to do that if one of my tires was low, once the tires warmed up and the pressure came up, the light would go off.
