Hey all, ive seen this issue discussed briefly in the forums, but no solutions were thrown around. I'd like to see if anyone has solved this on their own before taking the car in for a new warranty head unit.

I have the AudioLink iPod adaptor, which, other than failing to be recognized occasionally (which is fixed by disconnecting the battery for a second), is an awesome little toy. But I'm afraid that it may have fried my CD player. I had one of those moments where the iPod connector wasnt being recognized, so I pulled the battery wire, and upon restarting the car, not only was the AudioLink adaptor not recognized, but hitting the CD button did nothing either. When i toss a CD in there, it sounds like its going to autoplay, but then goes right back to the FM radio setting.

Is this a dead head unit issue? or could i possibly fix this by pulling out the radio and disconnecting the AudioLink altogether?

I know this isnt a big issue, but someone please help! Radio in northern cali is absolute murder. im better off listening to road noise half the time.

 

same thing had happen to me. I pluged the audiolink on the radio, pluged my itouch, and cd or EX wouldnt work. I dissconnected all except radio, unhooked the battery, pluged all in again including audiolink, pluged the battery and it worked. Now im left with my Itouch pausing for no reason here and there.....anyone that can help???
