So, my airbag light just flashes and then turns solid. How do I fix this?

It does not work for me. I voided my warranty long ago so please help me out.

Check all Airbag connectors then.

no need to panic, check them one by one, is not the end of the world.

 

....especially the two under the front seats, and the one behind the glovebox.

I can't seem to find the one behind the glove box. Do you guys have a picture of it?

 

Drop the glove box (disconnect the damper, push in the retainers)

The wire covering is yellow. There was a recall for older cars because this connector was stretched/too short - did yours get the extension put on?

Actually, how many connectors are there total? I know there are one under each seat. I just learned of the one behind the glove box (Still can't find it). There should be more for the side curtain airbags, correct? If so, can someone enlighten me as to where these connectors are located?

BTW, I made sure the ones underneath the seats are connected and I can still replicate the flashing airbag light that turns solid.

 

I'm not so sure if it received the recall. My car was bought in August of 2006. Thanks for the info though, I'll go check the length of the connector right now and see if it's seated properly.

 

So, the one behind the glove box is plenty long and it's seated properly. I disconnected it and reconnected it. I'm going out for another drive to see if it comes on again (it usually comes on around after 5 minutes worth of driving).

way to go john!! so if mine ever comes on you know where all the connectors are.....this happend to my old 8, it would come on the go off...

 

Was a good read just so if I ever do have the issue, I'll know about the one behind the glove..............and not have to go pull out the cable wiring pic/diagrams.

my airbag light has been intermittently flashing on and staying on for the last 3 weeks or so, I tried the things mentioned in this post to no avail. I broke down and took it to the dealer...DTC B2691 L/F seatbelt buckle loose connector...

fyi for anyone that still has the light and is checking loose connections.
