Finally we are having a RX8 meet around the 626 area. After the vote from the poll. We decided to meet at AU79 Tea Spirit's Parking lot. The intersection of San Gabriel blvd. and Valley Blvd., We are going to chat, have fun, eat, drink, install some basic mods or even a cruise to somewhere else. We are trying to gather anyone around 626 area to join the meet. Everyone beside Rx8 owners are welcome as well. Bring your Friends, Girl/boyfriend, parents, classmate, neighbors or anyone you want. if anyone have questions or parts that they want, feel free to ask any of us. :lol::lol::beerchug:

My dad used to work there at alhambra mazda, everything is cool with me.But he ended up work at honda dealership right now. But if you would like to have an oil change or check up sth like that. Go to Sammy at JRX , they did a good job on those. ;) ;)

lol i know alhambra isnt the best place to go, but i don't feel like driving further to another place. they overcharge, have dumb technicians, and i think they've dinged my car before but refused to fix it. lol and i still go there

Meet is great Guys, end up with 8 rx8. We are having fun but suck becuz of the rain. We finally went underground parking near Del Mar and valley. Installed some Basic Mod =]...Will post some pics later on..Hope to see more 8 next week

The guys over at Puente Hills Mazda are cool. They don't sweat you if you have after market mods. I'm down off Walnut Grove myself and didn't catch this post till today. I'll be there for sure on Friday at the next meet. Someone PM me or email to remind me haha!

re: dealerships> yah, alhambra mazda is pretty bad. ricky tru (svc mgr) is not very responsible as far as managers go. they've dinged my car too, and they are the reason why i had to replace all my glass... but, like kelvin said- yah, i'm too lazy to drive all the way over the galpin mazda all the time. so, i have been going to alhambra on saturdays instead of m-f, because the weekend service crew there seems to be better. and, i always remind them what they did to my car and they so far have been extra careful. <knock on wood> mazda dealerships generally just aren't that great.

hey compared to alhambra they're great. besides they've been really good to me, even helped me with a little touch up paint at no additional cost.

i guess the bottom line is most mazda car dealerships suck. it just depends on how lucky or unlucky u are. but, yah- alhambra is pretty bad as well.

Why does it make you embarrassed? There aren't any Chinese ppl at PH mazda... And I've been there numerous times, they aren't anything but helpful.

I'm going to be honest and say that i personally haven't deal with any of the chinese employees yet. just the service folks and service department. but yeah I can definitely see the salesman not giving a rat for their customers.

Ohhhhh.. my bad... I thought you were talking about the service department. My mistake. Like the guy above me I only ever talked to the service department, and those guys are pretty helpful. Everytime I look over to the sales floor, all I do see are other ppl, including some Chinese guys, sitting around and not doing anything. Except for one time, when they had a Dodge Viper and I was gaping at it and a salesman jokingly asked if I wanted to trade in my car for it.

That is the nature of meets. Some weeks there will just be a few guys hanging out, but if you manage to keep it going long enough there will be times when you'll have more than 10+ cars at once. You have to realize that not everyone believes going to a RX-8 meet is their top priority for a Saturday night. Sometimes the stars align and you'll get a great turnout, but the flip side is sometimes stuff comes up and people won't go. For now, just treat it as a way to hang out with some friends and perhaps enjoy a drink or two and have fun.

Take it from me, who was there when the Bay Area club first started meeting in Union City, don't be so concerned with turn out, the first couple months are always kind of rough.

if the buyer doesn't decide to pick up my car this week, i will go to the meet with you guys.

i used go to the walnut and seen that u guys made this new meet so im just trying to find out what day and what time the new meet is going to be going on well its not really a new meet lol but im just new to it so if someone could send me a private message it would be greatly appriciated

yeah JC will do it to the tenth. i just got my alignment done there last week. i had -2.5 in the rear and -1.5 in the front. you can watch him as he does it as well.

well the cops arent a problem. you see one pass by on the street every few hours or so and one might patrol the parking lot after 10ish but they never even stop to talk to us or give us any problems.

Yeah i agree the meet was a great. There were more people there than last weeks. If we can get more to come out then it will be almost as big as the LAX meet muahahaha

lets see we had about 7 rx8s (8 including toguepirate), 2 evo's, 2 sti's, 1 A4, 1 e46 M3, 1 mazda6, 1 mr2.. and i think one or 2 rx8's that were looking for us but just left haha.

oh and there were two nsx's that drove by us really fast and another blue evo and a white camaro that pulled in and asked us where they could street race... ::shakes head::
