Especially for those who recently purchased their 08, is this a good price? Would this dealer offer the invoice price at 28k? Thanks

View Full Version : Got an offer on a 08 GT for 30k. Good offer? liam 11-04-2007, 01:32 AM Especially for those who recently purchased their 08, is this a good price? Revvittupp 11-05-2007, 04:28 PM www.edmunds.com They would have no reason to go at or below invoice on an '08. Anything under $1k over invoice is a fair deal at this point in time. If you can do better then that, and find that's a better val8e then what they will do on an '07, by all means go ahead. liam 11-06-2007, 10:02 PM www.edmunds.com They would have no reason to go at or below invoice on an '08. Thanks for the response. Let me ask you this then; Would you pay 28k for 07 GT or 30k for 08 GT? tajabaho1 11-06-2007, 10:04 PM wtf 30k!?!?!?! 28k out the door or say NO to that shit!!!~ mysql101 11-06-2007, 10:05 PM with the 07 you get a discount now. if you plan on selling down the road, you might get back your 2k when you sell the 08 model over the 07... maybe Late2Brake 11-06-2007, 10:27 PM Sounds like the Mazda rebate that they were offering doesn't apply to the 08 model. That's what I figured and it's the reason I tried to find what I wanted in an 07 model. It almost didn't happen though, there's not a lot left to choose from in the 07's. Mazda rebate + what the dealer knocked off was about $4400 off the sticker. Revvittupp 11-07-2007, 11:04 AM If there is $2k difference, it's mostly up to your ownership habits. If yoiu plan to keep this car for three years or less, buy the '08. If you plan on keeping it longer, buy the '07. For the first three years, the '08 will be worht at least $2k more, then about 7-8 years from now they would essentially have the same value based on identical mileage and condition. liam 11-07-2007, 07:28 PM Thanks for the advice everybody. I'll have about 2 weeks to decide. bandalgom78 11-08-2007, 10:42 AM I got 8000 dollar discount on 2006 RX-8 Shinka. Originally it was 33K, but became 25K. You should look more on 07 models through internet and dealers. I had to drive over an hour, but it was worth it. 1fine8 11-11-2007, 02:42 PM some dealers are giving $7000.00 discounts on 2007s NOW. thecow135 11-11-2007, 02:47 PM o nice catsailing 11-12-2007, 11:01 PM My first quote for the 08 gt was 33,700! I gotta work on getting that down!! bmxbobby2004 11-12-2007, 11:03 PM some dealers are giving $7000.00 discounts on 2007s NOW. yup thats what i got back in june:] liam 11-13-2007, 02:32 AM My first quote for the 08 gt was 33,700! I gotta work on getting that down!! Shop around for 08 GT. Several dealers offered one to me for 29k, which doesn't include the factory rebate. I believe if you wait a few more months, factory rebates might be available. Since the 08s started to hit the dealership, I would wait if I were you. I finally found the color I prefer for an 07 model w/ the appearance package. They have to ship it from a dealership south of the state border. The price is 26k plus tax. MSRP was 33k. I will find out within the next few days. catsailing 11-13-2007, 08:15 PM Shop around for 08 GT. Several dealers offered one to me for 29k, which doesn't include the factory rebate. Or buy it on the mainland and then ship it over, but shipping cars can be a hassle. so I'll just try to get the price down to at least the MSRP. nycgps 11-13-2007, 10:32 PM Keep this in mind It cost them *About the same* to get the car, no matter 07 or 08. So remember, for 07, they HAVE TO GET RID OF THEM. Cuz 08s are here. You can probably get a 07 GT for about 27 even 26K. Im not kidding. For 08, if you can talk them into a deal, you can probably walk out around the same as 07 or probably EVEN lower. cuz when you do financing with them, they make money outa you. Gish 11-15-2007, 08:44 PM Or go for an 04-05 for half the price... ne0lain 11-15-2007, 09:05 PM hey all rx-8 have a 2g mark up form invoice plus right now there is a 3500 rebate on 07s am the internet manager at my dealerships.... if you can't get invoice on an 08 then go somewhere else yourchamp23 11-17-2007, 07:26 PM OR you could buy my 07 GT for 26k. less then 1000 miles on it AND you would be doing me a favor. lone_wolf025 11-17-2007, 07:33 PM I'm looking at a fully loaded 08 GT and they're talking 33+. I'm just going to wait until fall comes rolling around next year and get a deal then. I don't have the money at the moment...:( |
