I heard Northland Mazda ( the one on center street) is the best.... I go to Kramer though because it is 3 mins drive from my house. Their service is not that good and will try to rid you off as much as a dealer can

+1.. I have trust issues with dealers anyway, and I sincerely get the impression I am being toyed with... I really hate that.

PS.. I think its NorthHill.. never been there though, for something serious I think I will head there.

North Hill has great service. Of the 3+ years I've been going there, the techs have all been the same (ie low turnover). Parking lot is a bit cramped but since they renovated, it's been better. Plus it's very central.

Just came back from service at North Hill. It was an oil change and re-installing a mud guard that got ripped out. They reattached the mude guard for no extra cost.

agree, northhill mazda is the only place where i wanna go if i have to deal with a dealer. Also, the new manager there is my buddy, sort of the other reason i go there. i just did my recall from there, it was obviously free. then i do my oil change there. Overall, they have very good attitude, good service, nice coffee room with internet. so you can go on this forum if u dropped your ride there.

^^^ Whoa, they got internet now in the coffee room? Dang! I was there when they first installed the plasma TV (but no internet then). Who's your friend?

Just to make sure, I went to check it again, its that special edition RX8 with the "Dark Cherry" color. But I'm thinking of getting an 07 Automatic now, not to skillful driving a MT in snow let alone a brand new RWD MT 8.

And Thanks Phil

Silent Angel --> I believe the special edition ONLY comes in manual transmission. Don't get the lower power auto. You'll be a pro at MT in no time.

welcome to the forum!! i agree with bluefrenzy, auto has less power then MT does according to the info they give u. i dont know anything about the special edition though. but if u are thinking to drive an 8 in winter, u better get a set of snow tires cuz no matter which type of transmission u get, RWD is still really bad in snow........think about it, u pay the same thing to get a less power car and u wont take any advantage of the less power car to the snow.......

its not just bad, it is impossible.. snow tires really are mandatory. Last time i tried to drive it w/ OEM I ended up pushing it (yes pushing..) into a gas station and left it there for 2 days waiting for the snow to melt

.....once at night, i was going to pick up my girlfriend at work. when i went out, snow just came and really heavy.......when i went straight down crowchild, i drove like 20 km/h (there was no car around cuz that was at almost 1 o'clock), then my car still was sidewards stopped at the middle of the high way.

Hey guys, anyone know anything about this? Have you guys brought into mazda and check them?

Three recalls due on your RX-8.
1) SSP61 RX-8 Engine No Start
2) 3305G RX-8 Fuel Tank Heat Damage
3) 4206F RX-8 Drivability

The "no start" one gets you a bigger faster starter, the tank one is just an added heatproof pad, and the drivability one gets you new upgraded sparkplugs....good deal!

Git 'er done!!
