How are the rotary engines tested ? nycgps 09-18-2007, 05:41 PM See the Picture. and read the Service Manual. champi0n 09-19-2007, 08:34 AM I think its 10:1? or something... and they'd be tested the same way as another car, the guage is screwed into a spark plug hole. nycgps 09-19-2007, 09:01 AM *sigh* ... ashwins 09-19-2007, 10:03 AM I think its 10:1? or something... and they'd be tested the same way as another car, the guage is screwed into a spark plug hole. what is the safe level of variance? I read somewhere else that a compression ratio of 7 meant that the engine is dying? tajabaho1 09-19-2007, 10:06 AM ?? I read somewhere on this forum its 9.4:1? Joe_914 09-19-2007, 11:32 AM This is just too easy I couldn't pass it up. the static compression ratio be it 9.4:1 or 10:1 has absolutely no relation to the numbers you get from conducting a compression test with a gauge in the spark plug hole and rolling the motor over with the starter. |
