OK, I love the popular thread about what we like about the RX-8. I thought I'd start a new one that's a little more specific. We're not talkin here about cupholders or vanity mirrors. We're talkin high tech, cutting edge or just down-right cool engineering features. I thought I'd start a bullet list then others can copy and paste it and keep making it longer. Corrections welcome of course:
Carbon fiber drive shaft
HID self-leveling headlights
Drive-by wire throttle
Low-profile oil pan with baffles
9,000 RPM redline with 8,500 RPM buzzer
Renesis engine
Forged suspension members
Hollow front sway bar
Limited slip differential [type?]

There; that's just a start. I know the brochure, articles and web site list a lot of these features, but I'm equally sure that there are more to be listed than one could readily learn from the popular literature. I'd love to learn (and appreciate) more. Thanks.
