I puchased a set of used v700s with 3 events on them earlier this year, and after 4 more events or so, one of them has corded on the outside shoulder. I ran them on lots of concrete unfortunately. Quick few questions for those that may have used them:

1) Do these still have any reasonable life if I flipped them? (Assuming I find another used V700 to replace the corded one)
2) Does anyone have some extra 18" V700 lying around they want to get rid of?

I know they are far from V710s, but I'm trying to race on as cheap a budget as possible. Thanks!

ps. these are so old, Tirerack no longer carries 265 V700s.

If they're showing cord then they're no good.....You could flip them and try to get some more events out of them but the risk is far greater then the reward.....If you're on a budget then you might want to move away from the R Compounds and go to a low treadwear street tire like the Kumho MX or Falken. They're not too far off of a V700 in most situations......
