I know there was the post here by the person whose sport seats were wearing due to friction from the seat belt, but has anyone else noticed other wear issues with the seats on their sport?

From sitting in one it just seems that seat cloth material, more like felt than cloth, isn't very robust and won't last very long.

Leather's out because I don't fit with the sunroof that comes with the Touring and GT packages... :(

So far after 6 weeks and 3300 miles, my seats are wearing fine. I don't notice any wear so far except where the seatbelt rubs, and it's not gotten bad yet.

I really like the cloth seats and find them preferrable to leather - I know, I'm weird that way. They DO look like they will wear down easily, but so far, so good. :)

Can't give you an answer since I don't own the car yet, but I'm in the same situation like you (6' 6" tall, no sunroof for me).
I'm planning on getting the leather interior retrofitted by an aftermarket upholstery store. The leather will be then better than the factory one, but not having done anything like this before, I'm kinda concerned about tearing apart my new car (I want the door panels too, like the stock leather interior :D)
Wonder how this kind of aftermarket leather holds up - I suppose they put it on top of the stock cloth. Does anyone have experience regarding aftermarket leather?

So far so good, but my big butt rubs the edge of the seat back getting in and out when the seat if I can't open my door all the way....damn tilt steering doesn't go up far enough. I've slid the seat back a notch or two and that seems to help....even though the clutch is a bit more of a reach.

I've thought about getting some Wet Okole custom seat covers. I have them on my other two cars and they are great! I think I'll give it a little more time before I decide.

The "fuzz" has worn off but it seems that the underlying base material is more reslient and it won't actually be wearing a hole any time soon. Still unsightly though.

phew, thats fortunate. I have ordered cloth seats here in the UK and when I saw your first post eccles I did think - bugger, perhaps I should have gone for the leather. However, when I test drove the car, I found that as I put the drivers seat waaaay back I didn't find the belt touched the seat at all...

well on the RHD car that is (hmm shouldnt be any different!)
