I know this has been asked over and over again, but I need help...
I went to my local bridgestone dealership and asked them if I could order a set of RE-05's or RE750's; they said the 750's are not made anymore, and the RE-05's DO NOT EXIST (I was like WTF???)
So I talked with the guy about the S03's he said they are 240ish each.
Then I asked for a tire under 200 for good performance he suggested me to get the Kumho ECSTA MX (were $130ish).
I got home, went on tire rack
The S03's were on sale for $136, and the MX costed $205 (WTF?).

I'm thinking of buying the S03's since I can't find the RE-05R's. And have heard a lot of good things from that tire, but haven't heard that much from the MX's.

But which tire would have more traction overall in dry/wet.
Which is a better tire?

S03 or the MX?

Where are you located???
I bought RE050A pole position 225-45-18 for $172 at tirerack.com
Look up the ratings and it's at the top.
S03 is the older version of pole position

I am located in Kentucky, My price range is under 150/tire, but yeah the 050A's are real good tires

Then take the tire rack deal on the S03 or get kumho ECSTA SPT 225-45-18 for $100

Both are good sport tires

How much did the shipping and duty end up setting you back? Im considering buying tires from tirerack, but am unsure about the "extra costs"

By my calculations the RE050A PP tires cost me C$300 each with taxes and delivery or about C$80 cheaper per tire than buying in Canada.

You pay Tire Rack for tires and shipping then pay UPS for duty, brokerage fees and taxes. The tires were at my house less than a week after order.
