View Full Version : Anyone familiar with Falken ZE512 tires? Gambit 01-30-2007, 10:43 AM tirerack doesn't sell Falken, and I don't know enough about tires to know other places to look tdiddy 01-30-2007, 10:47 AM I got mine from DiscountTireDirect.com. They have free shipping. ZoomZoomH 01-30-2007, 10:50 AM www.edgeracing.com www.vulcantires.com both have the ZE512 in 245/40/18 i had them on both my Protege and RX-7, they're decent for a strictly street-driven tire, light snow traction is ok at best, but really good bang for the money. OnRails 01-30-2007, 11:38 AM I got mine from DiscountTireDirect.com. They have free shipping. Same here. They have a store just down the street from where I live. Even got 90 days same as cash ! Gambit 01-30-2007, 11:53 AM well i was lookin at a rims + tires package on ebay that comes with those tires and I didn't know whether they were any good bruce_van 01-30-2007, 12:04 PM I had these Falkens on my Lexus. It's a pretty decent tire for the price. Grip was pretty good, but it was a little too loud for my taste. I got about 15K miles out of them. Look into the Toyo T1Rs. I'm going to try those out once my stocks are worn. Everyone raves about them. NotAPreppie 01-30-2007, 02:11 PM I got mine for about $90 each in 225/55/17 from DiscountTireDirect.com I also purchased a set of Racing Sparco D-Spec Stage 1 17x7 wheels with them (wheels were about $87 each). Since I wanted TPMS installed into these (as my primary driving wheel/tires, relegating my OEM 18"'s to track duty) they cut me a break on the price to cover the cost of having a local shop mount/balance/TPMS install. I like them. They aren't quite as good as the OE Potenzas in warm+dry conditions but they are far better in cold, light snow and rain. |
