Question Agency Power Pulley Problem

I’ve had the pulley for about 3 months with no problems. Recently when I leave work and start the car I hear a clicking sound from the belt area. It only makes that sound in extreme cold, once warm the sound is gone. Also when I start the car in the morning in the garage there is no noise due to it being much warmer in the garage than outside. I’m pretty sure it’s just the cold but just want to know if anyone else has experienced this?

^^ +1 on the belt tension. Also, check and retighten the 4 hex screws that came with the pullley. I think they are 5mm

Thanks for the response guys. The belt tension is good as that's the first thing I checked. As for the screws the problem is that 2 out of the four screws are striped, luckily both stripped right after I tried for a second click on the torque wrench. I used thread lock on them so I doubt they are lose, I see no wobble in the pulley itself and I also can see that all four bolts are still protruding from the back so I am pretty sure they are still secure. Just not sure why it only does it when It's been sitting outside in the cold.

I have the same clicking when it's cold. I checked the belt tension and screws and they were both tight. And like you said it goes away after the car warms up for a minute or two

Luckily seems like the wrong word to use here ......

Are these stripped bolts diagonally opposite ? If they are you may get away with this - if not you really should get it fixed .

Taking the pulley off and re-tapping those 2 holes should be the first move on troubleshooting this clicking sound.

Makes me feel a little better, that its not just me. To be on the safe side I check the bolts everyweekend.

I know I was not lucky to strip them but at least it happened once they were properly torqued. Yes, they are opposite each other guess I am lucky there to. I'm pretty confident that they are still tight due to the thread lock and the proper torque setting. If the problem continues once it warms up that's a whole different story. Thank You all for your help
