This is so worthless. The 8 is probably auto, plus he sat there for 3 seconds after the light was green, plus they were going along a curve in which the civic had the inside track.

And as far as the poster who said the kids in civics are "picking on you".... Follow him to wherever he's going and beat the sh*t outta him if he's revving at you and you dont like it.

HAH that's so funny! I've had almost exactly the same thing happen! The only difference was that I pretended that it shouldn't happen to see how worried he would get. He freaked out and said my car would blow up, and turned right immediately...it was great. :)

The thing is that the race wasn't even that long. messing with my sister's cavi and my friends neon, I found that both cars were faster off the line, but couldn't hang after 50. and that was with a 04 AT with an extra 200 lbs in the trunk from my system.

does anyone know off hand how much a civic weighs?

I have to agree with the other....two(?).. people that said the guy in the 8 was trying to race the Civic. It's not the only video of an 8 I've seen lose to a Civic.

i was at a local meet here on the north shore with some FCs, FDs, RX8s, and a lot of DSMs, and some domestics.
Some jack ass pulls up in his red car, does donughts right in front of us, and then drives off. Pretty much like this video.
Oh and the guy who did it, was driving an RX8. I dont think he saw the other rotarys at the meet. Point being... we have a lot of stupid f*cking owners as well.

To be honest I don't know if he posts. Ther are a ton of fast VW's in hawaii. His sis drives a A4 pushing like 350HP! Oh, and she is super hot too! Him and I have been friends since third grade but we only see each other occasionally since I live In Texas. We always talk about cruising together in our own cars but it probably won't happen until I retire and move back.

As many people have already stated before, A single video does not prove a damn thing. Any given day, any given driver, any given set up and you can beat or be beaten my a car that is not in the same class.

I know street racing is not condoned but i've beaten EVO VII's and Mercades AMG 55's before, and i've also been beaten by STR4's before.

Take a stock Civic Vs. a stock 8 and have them run that same course, it would be a huge world of difference. Unless you're fluent in Japanese you have no idea what those list of specs truly means.

the 8 was at a disadvantage .. wet roads + RWD = not good .. and it dindt even look like the 8 was trying.. lookd like he was just cruising .. and had a poor launch.. dont get me wrong ive seen some fast civics.. but that was an unfair run, and there was nowhere for the 8 to even pass the civic.. why try to pass when theres no room and cause an accident at high speeds on a wet road.. that wasnt a race..that was a joke.
